Airtel introduced Swift 1099 - 512 kbps unlimited - Rs.1099. I just upgraded my line to the new Explorer 1099 with 384 kbps day and 1 mbps night thingy. I check the Airtel Experience site today and i find the plan removed and a new plan put up instead.



I think the plan charges shown are a typo. But if its not, then its the advent of cheap broadband plans at last

From Goa. Me used Airtel broadband. Modem (Router) is Beetel 450TC1 ADSL2+ wireless Router.

I have a problem that is the client pc is getting dhcp address successfully for the first time .
but when I disconnect or it just gets disconnected It is not getting the valid dhcp address
(i.e instead of getting 192.168.1.0/24 series its getting something like this 192.168.221.128
and default gateway ip as 192.168.221.2

currently downloading Age of Empires 2 - 203 MB in total - speeds between 22 to 30 kbps ( i am on 256 kbps ) - thought that this would be on their internal N/W hence would be faster downloads - but its like d/ling from any other website - but ...

Got a call a few minutes back from some marketing guy in airtel, he did ask me if I wanted to Optimize for the 2MBPS unlimited plan for Rupees 2999.
By Day after tomorrow I should have my current plan 1MBPS move to 2MBPS.

Anyone else opt for this? If yes share your experiences here. I will be testing this starting monday.
