For Airtel ID is admin ( cannot be changed ) and PW password.

Which PW you used to access the modem /router menu pages ?
feedback.

UPDATE:
mention present firmware details of your router.
Firmware downgrade has been suggested.

All ADSL modems can be used with Airtel.
Only special point Use VPI 1 VCI 32 for Airtel.
By changing the modem speed may not increase , as desired.
If speed is slow try this application.
tcp/ip optimizer from speedguide.net.

Check speed BEFORE and After using above application.
Test twice.

Still no improvement post STATUS page of Beetel 450TCI
or post SNR/Attn data.

YES . But if not sure,
Create a System Restore Point first.
Then try
tcp/ip optimizer from http://speedguide.net.

Your feedback will help other users.( both +ve or -ve.)
